Hi everyone,
I'm running into something odd while preparing a new post for my blog.
I wanted to include a simple reference link to a mobile game as part of an article about **embedding external content in blog posts** — nothing fancy, just a plain URL so readers could see how it displays by default.
Here’s the test link I used:
https://modhello.com/upin-ipin-universe/
On my editor prview, it appears fine as a clickable link.
But once I published the article, some readers reported that it either doesn't show as clickable, or is being stripped by certain browsers (especially on mobile).
What I’ve already tried:
- Checked if the theme was auto-formatting URLs.
- Switched between the block editor and classic editor.
- Tested with a couple of other domains — they worked fine.
- Disabled all link-shortening and redirection plugins.
Has anyone experienced this before?
Is it a theme-level sanitization issue, or could it be something to do with the domain being flagged by certain filters?
Any advice on what else I should check would be super helpful. Thanks in advance!
